In 2006 the two musicians Philipp „philT“ Treiber and Nico Balletta founded their baby Defy The Laws Of Tradition. The pre-album-EP „A Prologue“ already made it clear that something big was coming and with the release of their first full-length „Till Death Us Part“ Defy raised the bar within the local metal scene. Shows with stage-veterans Killswitch Engage, Soulfly, Nile and First Blood followed and the gig at Wacken Rocks South went down in the band’s history as some of the biggest highlights so far. „Come at me, Bro'!“ After exchanging several of the former members and the release of their recent album „GameChanger“ Defy are stronger than ever before - NBG-Shred at it’s finest and a slap in every stereotypical breakdown’s face. Dass hier etwas Großes im Anmarsch ist, machte bereits die Pre-Album-EP „A Prologue“ überdeutlich. Mit dem Erscheinen des ersten Full-Length Albums „Till Death Us Part“ legten die Nürnberger die Messlatte der lokalen Metal-Szene ein gewaltiges Stück höher, und die Belohnung folgte auf den Fuß! Support-Shows für Killswitch Engage, Soulfly und Nile folgten, und der Gig beim Wacken Rocks South stellt bis heute einen der Höhepunkte in der Geschichte der Band dar. „Come at me, Bro'!“ 2014 gilt's: Nach einigen Besetzungswechseln und mit ihrem brandneuen Album "GameChanger" im Gepäck sind DTLOT stärker als je zuvor – feinster NBG Shred eben und ein Tritt ins Gesicht jedes 08/15-Breakdown-Gehämmers.
