About SOMAS CURE
SOMAS CURE don’t need meaningless, over-used adjectives like “bone-crushing” or “intense” to describe theie new album, ÉTER. Once this album hit the streets, it was clear that only a few bands can embody the intensity, integrity and lofty ambitions of the genre with more dazzling aplomb than these young musicians, and what is more, these twelve songs represent a true next step in the band’s consistenly evolving sound.
Whereas “Equilibrium” and “Mitos” were dark, city-like and, at times, corrosive, ÉTER’s center is one of diversity and energy yet musically advanced. This endurance is powered by SOMAS CURE’s insatiable hunger to constantly and consistently reinvent, to confront stagnation, even when all signs point to staying put and relying on a successful formula. From the catchy yet heavy riff of “Kelt” or “Leviatan” to the explosive “Dunas de Marte”, it is inmediately obvious that SOMAS CURE is no ordinary band and, as expected, there’s a lot behind the music.
Because after all, it is all about the music, all about its feeling, nothing compares to what ETER has in store for the band¡s legion of followers. The record was mixed by Carlos Santos at Sadman Studios and mastered at Fascination Street Studios by Jens Bogren and have the band ready to reach new horizons. The buzz has even reached overseas, as SOMAS CURE prepare for their first South American tour, and it won’t be long until this phenomenon invades the rest of the world so be sure get your party pants out so you’re completely ready for their global takeover.
Indeed, their music has carried seriously honest qualities throughout the years. Album after album, fans have connected deeply with the band. Probably because of SOMAS CURE’s lyrical weight, probably because they are no strangers to festivals...
Whatever, go ahead, don’t be shy and listen to Eter, SOMAS CURE will be causing more then just a stir, they might start a revolution... so knock feel good metal is back.
