Deejay LoK is a music enthusiast that has devoted his life and education towards the music industry, djing and being involved in the music industry for 15 years.

In 1993 at age 11 he was introduced by his friend Phil Breakz to hardcore and breakbeats which he instantly fell in love with. At 15 he started his journey coming up through the Crazy Beat Record stables where he worked and learned the ropes of record retail. Completing a BTEC National Diploma and a Higher National Certificate in Music Technology at college in the meantime.

The shop, which specialises in rare groove, reggae and soul and jazz, along with the people working there taught him about the roots of the records he had been hearing and his love for hearing samples was sparked! This allowed his musical tastes to broadened encompassing funk and break beats, disco influenced house, disco, soul and rare groove, R&B, UK& US Hip Hop, ragga and reggae and anything with funk and soul in it!

At age sixteen after coming as a runner-up in a local dj competition he was given his first DJ set in a club. Then he didn't stop running, appearing as a DJ in many London and surrounding area nightclubs, originally working with the Feelsurreal, Wildchild and Art of Loving organisations. From the age of 18 he appeared as a DJ in and held residencies in London's West End. Appearing as a monthly resident for GelloFishPink and weekly for Sound Republic and Break For The Boarder and also a bi-weekly spot at The Buzz Bar (all busy west-end spots).

Following meeting DJ Mr Thing through long time cohort Johnny Roast aka JP, he was taken under the wing of and became close personal friends with the ex UK Dj champion and world acclaimed club dj who provided him with a platform within the UK Hip Hop scene. Using this he made his way to appearing at Doctors Orders events run by Dj Spin Doctor and met up with Disorda, the backbone of UK Hip Hop, and quickly sparked up a partnership, becoming a resident at Suspect Packages LIVE at Vibe Bar, Brick Lane, London while also DJing residencies at Stacked Saturdays at Elbow Room, Islington and Elbert Wurlings and The Hertford House Hotel both in Hertfordshire.

Adding to this work for large companies such as Marks And Spencer, co-promoting club nights with Disorda, Dj No Way and others

With an acquired wealth of knowledge, maturity and experience behind him he looks forward to many more years in the music business!
