Tramaine Hawkins

Tramaine Hawkins is one of the most amazing gospel singers today, with her strong coloratura soprano voice she can break down any barriers while still upholding grace and her Christian faith. Tramaine Hawkins was born in San Francisco , CA on October 11th, 1957, she is the granddaughter of E.E. Cleveland, one of the founders of the Church Of God In Christ, Inc. She has received praise and criticism for some of her gospel hits that crossed over into mainstream popular and rock music. One being the prime example is her 1986 hit " Fall Down" which crossed over into dance and r&b charts but through it all she is stronger. Tramaine has released over nine albums ( some solely recorded under her first name). Her most recent album being 2007's I Never Lost My Praise( Live) which received the Stellar Award for Traditional Gospel Album and she also received The James Cleveland Lifetime Achievement Award. All of her awards includes a Grammy , Dove and Stellar Awards. Besides for all these things she is a straight to God Gospel singer. She is a fully saved and sanctified woman of God. - M.Murphy
