About George Holroyd
George Holroyd is a singer-songwriter born and raised in Suffolk and currently living in London.
Picking up the guitar aged 11, George went on to play his first show in 2013 at The Bodega in Nottingham, supporting Ryan Keen. He has since built a strong live following for himself gigging on the Nottingham music scene, playing regular shows in and around the city and appearing at festivals including Dot to Dot (2013-17) and Splendour (2014), following these up with appearances at Glastonbury (2014/15).
In late 2014 George recorded his debut EP ‘Peru’, self-releasing it on Jan 30th 2015 and playing a sold-out launch show at the Bodega Social Club that night. The EP went straight in at No. 14 on the iTunes Singer-Songwriter Albums chart, going on to peak at No. 10.
Moving to London in early 2016, George recorded his follow up EP 'Demons & Dust', which was self-released on June 9th 2017. Currently working on his next release, you can catch George at live shows across the UK throughout the winter.
