About Wicked Messenger
Wicked Messenger represents a rejuvenation of the roots of rock and roll. The Wicked Messenger himself is an icon, a being who binds, penetrates, and surrounds the essence of the music. The Messenger’s transmission lives in every note broadcast to the listener, but it’s up to you to discover the answer…
The band’s center is held by lead vocalist and keyboardist Arshad Ahamed, who also acts as the band’s lyricist. Doug Queen locks in the groove and secondary vocals with tasteful drumming and honey-dripping harmonies. White-hot dual lead guitars are shared by Daniel Samad and Alex Estrada, who also sings for the band. Finally, the group is flanked by its rock-solid rhythm section, with Alex Day on bass and Michael Error on rhythm guitar.
With a wide variety of influences from The Allman Brothers to A7X, Vulfpeck to Van Halen, Mahavishnu Orchestra to Motörhead, and the Beach Boys to Blue Öyster Cult, the band’s ensemble of sounds breathes life and eccentricity into today’s rock music.
