Leon Parker

In his numerous albums and countless concerts, Leon Parker revolutionized the art of the drums. With perpetual sincerity, and an often minimal drumset (consisting sometimes in one unique cymbal), he invented his own music. His distinctive groove, and his search for a pure, authentic sound, have built him a solid reputation on the jazz scene and beyond, up to establishing him among the premier drummers.

Producer Joel Dorn’s protégé (Roberta Flack, The Neville Brothers , Max Roach , ...) , he has an impressive discography including some mythic albums - namely " The Awakening " and " Belief " recorded by Sony - and many collaborations (Dewey Redman , Kenny Barron, Harvie Swartz, Jacky Terrasson , Charlie Hunter)
