SALITA is an anthemic and aggressive rock band built from the backbone of the Boston music scene. Born and bred on a steady diet of greats such as Bad Brains, the Decendents, Faith No More, Fugazi, Quicksand and the Pixies to name a few, their music is heavily inspired by the limitless possibilities of experimental post-hardcore / punk and 90’s alt-rock. Formed in 2013 when vocalist Gary Hedrick (Kicked in the Head) and bassist Peet Golan (Waltham, Robby Roadsteamer, Jetfuel) began collaborating with lead guitarist Rich Crimlisk (The Ducky Boys, Morgan Knockers, Warning Shots), the band began recording demos in their practice space in Waltham, MA. They were then joined by guitarist Robbie Davis (My Stupid Friends, Every Second) as well as drummer Luke Mangini and released their first self titled EP while sharing bills with bands such as the mighty Fishbone, Jakubi, Rebuilder, The Venitia Fair, Sidewalk Driver, Lannen, The Business, We Were Astronauts, The Toasters, The Attack, Stray Bullets, Big D and the Kids Table and more. Salita has also appeared on WZLX's Boston Emissions with Anngelle Wood as well as the Mutiny on the Microphone Podcast. Their track "Shake Our Bones" was also featured on the "Keep Safe Boston 2014 Compilation." Currently they are recording new material set for release in 2015.
