The Who

Despite some sound problems between Townsend’s guitar and Zak Starky’s drums , I Can’t Explain got the audience to their feet! The set list included songs from Tommy and Quadrophenia, (plus some of the old favourites) with orchestral backing was something very special. Two hours of magic!

I love the who, they’re amazing. Roger, Pete, Keith and the rest were fantastic. However, the sound was a bit distorted, I think it’s the venue’s problem … it was my first time in accor arena and I wish the sound was cleaner and better tuned

Fab venue , fab concert , the Who haven’t lost it like a lot of older performers , roger daltry,s voice was still as good today as it was in the 60.s and of course Pete Townsend,s guitar playing was brilliant, was a bit dubious about the orchestra but it really did fit with the music ,going out to buy the album asap.

I’ve been seeing The Who since early days at Fillmore West (San Francisco) and am always awed by their genius and talent. The orchestra put it totally over the top for me…I am still in amazement. Thank you Roger and Peter, for all the fabulous years of Magic, and for continuing to rock on!

Great show in every respect. Dirty Knobs were great, could have played at least 1 more song especially since it was Petty's birthday. Richard Starkey on drums and Simon Townsend on guitar made this a killer show. And the orchestra just killed it. Loved the first 30 minutes of all Tommy. Was not prepared for that treat. Glad I was there.

If you love the Who The St. Louis show was amazing. Roger Daltry was in top form still screaming completely in tune where we love to hear it! Pete Townshends voice was so amazing and of course the guitar was a thing of beauty. The entire band was so spot on with some fantastic drumming!! Seeing them with the full orchestra was something I’m so glad I didn’t miss! Thanks for all the memories!

I love The Who. They are one of my favorite bands, but last night was really not a Quality show as they usually do (this was my 4th time attending a showof them). Pete T. had a lot of technical difficulties at the start of the show and also Roger D. had a few down further the show. Band and orchestra were great, very good musicians.

First time seeing The Who. I was impressed with presence both Pete Townsend and Roger Daltrey still have on stage. Both still give it their all and the set list could not have been better. The orchestra was a perfect compliment! If you have a chance, don’t miss seeing them before it’s too late.

Sound issues start to finish. Daltrey and Townsend pissed off first due to the sound nor working in Daltrey's ear piece and then at each other. Shortly after Townsend had words with someone in the first few rows. CLASSIC!!! A rock show and drama! 🎸

Last time I saw Roger by himself, he lost his voice halfway through the show. So I wasn’t sure what to expect. Other than Roger forgetting a few lines, they sounded great! Pete Townsend can still wale on the guitar! And with the orchestra backing them, every song was great.

The show was great! The venue at TMobile was absolutely horrible! I'm disabled and sat on the floor (green) and they didn't have bathrooms available close. They had to ask several people and said that I could use the dugouts bathroom with an escort. It was freezing cold, so many people left due to the cold. If they served coffee or hot chocolate it would of been barrable. The echo that Pete Townsend brought up also was bothersome. Not a venue for concerts when the top is closed.

Really a fun show. Townsend may be better now than in his youth. An amazing guitarist. Daltrey's voice is still a unique instrument in its own right. However, age is taking its toll on those vocal chords. The orchestra was fantastic. I was pleasantly surprised how good the concert was. The sound in Xcel was amazing.

This show was amazing, seeing Rock gods upon the stage with a live orchestra delivering the most powerful renditions of songs from their older albums and Tommy, and two songs from WHO! Releasing this year on November 22, 2019. I loved every second of this show and it was the best birthday present I ever had

Both Daltrey and Townsend were in top form. Townsend still plays with the anger of a young man and Roger, though is voice is showing its age, could still let loose with the triumphant scream at the climax of “Won’t get fooled again”. They were accompanied by a full orchestra. They opened with a suite of songs from Tommy, segued into a series of hits from other albums, then settled into songs from Quadrophenia. Not just a great show “for their age” but a great show in its own right.

Glad I went. They opened with the first 5 songs from Tommy: Overture, Its a Boy, 1921, Amazing Journey and Sparks. Then they played Pinball Wizard, Welcome, We’re not gonna take it, Listening to You/See me Feel Me. Then Who Are You, Join Together, Substitute, Imagine A Man, Eminence Front, You Better You Better You Bet, Won’t Get Fooled Again, a song off the new album, Can You See the Real Me, I’m the One (Townshend solo on acoustic guitar), The Punk and the Godfather, 5:15, Quadrophenia, Love Reign o’er Me ( Roger home run) and Baba O’Riley. It was a huge audience.

The concert was a mixture of orchestral, acoustic and rocking out. It was the first night, it started out a little shaky but it came together after a few songs. Roger's voice sounded great and so did Pete. Interaction with the crowd was good and loved the acoustic Won't Get Fooled Again with the whole crowd singing.

They deliver every time and work really hard at what they do. Daltrey's voice is top notch and Townsend grafted like hell. Last time I'll see them though I think. Still the greatest live rock band I have seen. At 73 years old the energy they put in is incredible.

This is "The WHO Hits 50" tour, for their 50th year as a band. This concert (Oakland, CA, 5/19) was as if they assembled their 50 top hits (more like 40)!! Nearly all the favorites I could think of, across their many years of music. Best of Tommy & Quadrophenia. Roger & Pete's voices were in great tune. It was Roger's 71st birthday and he was in great (talkative) spirits. He did a number of impromptu riffs and his classic wind-up strum at least 100 times. The band included 5? other incredibly talented fellows. Just about 2 hours of non-stop awesomeness. I first saw them in 1976 (Winterland, S.F.) and it's incredible they are cranking like it hasn't been 40 years ... except for having a lot more classics. I'm done paying $500 for wonderful bands like Stones, etc. Thanks to The Who, who can still be world class and not gouge their fans, including giving profit from sale of special CD's to worthy charities. Long live Rock!

It was awesome they did a picture recap of all the shows they had played in Portland. They played so many of there old popular songs and some great new material! This was the first time I had seen them so I can't compare to younger selves and they had more energy and put more into it than many younger bands.So grateful I got chance to see them!

Not many music groups have been around 50 years, and The Who sounded just as good as if they were celebrating their 25th year. Roger's voice was amazing and despite Pete fighting a cold, he was sounded good. But what a great show and it was worth the wait to see them since I had tickets from a year ago to see them.
