Based out of Santa Rosa, California, DIY is a hip-hop group that stays very true to their name. The three musical partners generate great energy while on stage together, making for exciting, fun shows. Because the group doesn't rely on any outside source to make their beats or write their raps for them, they are a breath of fresh air in an area that is saturated with outplayed gimmicks. Louis "Strongarm" Blank, the genius, was born in San Francisco and currently living in Santa Rosa. He does nearly all of the producing, mixing, and mastering, while also writing and delivering his own unique raps. PJ (aka Above Average), born and raised in Santa Rosa by a father who was in a rap group in the 90's, prides himself on the writing and delivery of his own raps. Early in his high school years, he was in a group called Street Harmony , but the group grew apart after they realized they had different goals. Benji "Be Smooth" Curiel owns up to his name by not only writing many songs about love, but also his "smooth" delivery, riddled with sweet melodies. DIY is a hip-hop trio from Santa Rosa, Ca.
