About Corty Byron
Guitarist/Singer/Songwriter, Corty Byron's style is pure swampy vintage rock n roll and soulful Americana.
"You can't fake authenticity."
He grew up a musician's son in Elizabethtown, PA. Even at an early age, he could be seen performing regularly. As a brash young guitar player, he co-founded and fronted 'The Green Onions' for a decade.
Byron's solo career has been going strong ever since. Whether seen performing solo acoustic, or plugged in with an ever-changing cast of musicians, his sound is ever present and all his own.
In 2011 he opened for Gregg Allman on his 'Low Country Blues Tour'.
Known for being a seasoned road hound, from 2011-2013, Corty lived in Venice, CA, performing up and down the west coast and across the state.
He is a fixture of Lancaster City, PA's music & community scene. In 2015, The Corty Byron Band became the first group to perform for inmates at Lancaster County Prison.
He periodically tours Ireland with 'Vinegar Creek Constituency'. Together, in 2016 they opened for VT Senator Bernie Sanders at Millersville University. That same year, Corty founded the annual CWS 'Concert For Refugees' at Tellus360.
He has currently released three solo projects ("717", “Histrionic“, & “Endless North“).
Every performance ends with the same simple message to his audience;
"Be excellent to each other".
