About Rui Da Silva
Rui Da Silva, one of Portugal’s greatest exports. DJ, producer and songwriter synonymous with pure electronic dance music.
Very few people manage to combine genuine underground respect with commercial success, but Portuguese Rui Da Silva has managed just that.
Famous for is legendary Underground Sound Of Lisbon from the late 90’s he was dubbed one of the best tribal/progressive-house producers in the world. Traveling the globe to destinations as far-flung as Dubai, Colombia, Albania, Russia, Australia, Singapore, Germany, Greece and the U.S., Da Silva has had the pleasure of spinning at nightclubs and festivals internationally, rocking the dancefloors in Space (Ibiza), Ushuaia (Ibiza), Ministry Of Sound (UK), Cream (Liverpool), Rock In Rio (Portugal), DC10 (Ibiza) and Exit Festival (Serbia), among others. When in studio he is churning out classics like “So Get Up”, “Touch Me”, “New Lover”, “Cascades Of Colour” and most recent “Calling You”. tunes that regularly jump to the front of record boxes of the cream of the worlds best djs. His releases relentlessly championed by the top DJ’s from Carl Cox, John Digweed, Tiesto, Paul Oakenfold, Pete Tong, Sasha, Danny Tenaglia, David Morales, Eric Morillo, Juan Atkins and many many others.
Nobody has describe it better than Pete Tong when introducing Rui Da SIlva on his Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1 “One of the most acclaimed and strangely un-sung dj producers in the world”
