About Stefan Melovski
The Stefan Melovski Trio was formed in London, UK where they hold a successful residency at Oliver’s Jazz Bar. Inspired by the musical aesthetic of the 1940s, the trio pay special attention to the compositions and arrangements of bebop luminaries Tadd Dameron and Mary Lou Williams amongst others, as well as penning their own original material. They are in the process of initiating special projects featuring guest musicians from abroad, and their latest endeavour is a European tour in April 2020 with New York-based singer Yaala Ballin, focusing on the music of Irving Berlin. The trio have regularly performed in venues such as Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, Pizza Express and the 606 Club, as well as abroad. They plan to release their first album by the end of 2020.
