About Vicinity
Vicinity is a progressive metal band hailing from Trondheim, Norway, consisting of Ivar Andreas Nyland (keyboards), Pierre-Nicolai H. Schmidt-Melbye (bass), Kim-Marius H. Olsen (guitars), Erling Malm (Vocals) and Frode Lillevold (drums). The band has released one EP, Diffusion Of Innovation (2008), and two albums, Awakening (2013) and Recurrence (2017) with a new album set for 2024. The band has shared the stage with bands like Withem, Tritonus, Mindtech, Arania and many more over the years.
Erling also performs with Articulus and Endolith.
