About The Killing Moon
The Killing Moon is a band from Hampden, Maine, United States. In their early years, they were a ska band called, Animal Suit Driveby. After many years of playing together, in 2005 they realized they were no longer very ska, and decided to change their name to more reflect the fact that they were no longer the band of old. Animal Suit Driveby became The Killing Moon.
They kept their horn players, but have them as more of a backing part of the band. Even though they have lost some of their original fan support because of their rejection of the ska scene, they have gained more than they have lost nationally. The Killing Moon is currently on Fearless Records, which helped them out by giving them national tour dates and putting them on a compilation album with their cover of Alanis Morissette's "You Oughta Know."
