Drawcard are a band from Sunshine Coast, Australia. "We make music that makes us feel good and that we enjoy playing. It may have been influenced by an eclectic myriad of artists we have listened to across our current existence here on this planet. There was ANOTHER document written, solely designed and crafted carefully by the best marketing monkeys money can buy. Instead, it was shredded and this document took it's place - a no-bullshit policy. What is REALLY going to float your boat is that Drawcard are simply put, a legendary bunch of dudes, making sweet heavy melody-laden tunes that you will brag to your mates that you discovered first. So what do you want to know about Drawcard? Over 8 years as a band, 4 releases, countless tours & after parties, playing small shows in parking lots to some of the biggest venues in the country including RNA showgrounds (to crowds of over 19,000) and Brisbane Entertainment centre, and just recently sharing the Main Stage at The Big Pineapple Music Festival with the likes of Grinspoon, Birds of Tokyo, Regurgitator to name a few. Drawcard are well on their way to creating their own path of 'grassroots' success. Their debut album was mixed by Sylvia Massy (TOOL, Red Hot Chili Peppers, COG) in California and is distributed nationally in the U.S. and Canada with SONY Red. The first two singles off their current 5 track EP debuted at No.4 and No.5 in the AMRAP Australian Independent Music Charts and remained in the Top 10 for 3 weeks alongside artists including - Children Collide, The Temper Trap and Hilltop Hoods. Their most recent EP has so far produced exciting results with tracks being added to Triple J UNEARTHED rotation and featured as 'song of the week', whilst a long list of community radio stations added the song to their playlist. Drawcard have a plethora of experience on the road and have played with a bunch of international and national acts: Taking Back Sunday, Birds of Tokyo, Unwritten Law, Grinspoon, Thursday, Dead Letter Circus, Underoath, Saosin, Senses Fail, Guttermouth, BodyJar, Anti Flag, Parkway Drive and more round out their impressive resume. For now, they are working on a new album, with singles planned for release mid 2013, with a select few festival appearances in early 2013 so far, followed by a national tour to promote the single to be announced soon.
