Mirthless

Mirthless is a Lawrenceville-based progressive metal band that was formed by Yousef Jeddi (guitar) and Matthew Carmichael (drums) in July of 2015. Mirthless made their debut later that year with the instrumental EP "Disconsolate." Mirthless played one show in support of the release before acquiring vocalist Malik Forman in 2016, with whom the band released the single "The End of Pain." After playing at numerous venues around the Atlanta area in 2016 and 2017, vocalist Malik Forman left Mirthless and was eventually replaced by Eli Roberson. The trio immediately recorded their debut full-length album "Familiar Shelter" in summer of 2017 with Carmichael as producer and engineer. Soon after, they recruited bassist Evan Gravitt as the newest addition to Mirthless. "Familiar Shelter" was released on October 27th, 2017, and is the first release to feature new vocalist Eli Roberson.
Mirthless has racked up some notable achievements, including opening for Veil of Maya and becoming the first band to play all three stages at the new Masquerade.
