Falter

There are several artists going by the name Falter;

1. FALTER is one of the many projects of Martin Juhls from Dortmund/Germany. While he is exploring the world of classical instruments as Marsen Jules and creating popesque-exotic-ambient-styles as krill.minima and Wildach Sonnerkraut with his minimal-dub-house project FALTER (a german word for butterfly) he takes a long and gliding flight through panning delays and wide reverbs.

2. Falter is a four piece hailing from Dallas, Texas; with Kenny Poovey on
vocals, Jason Schauer on bass, Mike Corn on Guitar and Andrew Britt on drums
their goal is to make a lasting imprint on music today. Combining heavy guitars, creative bass lines, and tight, dynamic percussion, with catchy vocals and a melodic, softer side, their utilization of dynamics within each song has pushed them 'against all odds' (the name of their 2006 album) to be where they are today.

3.Falter are an alternative/rock Perthshire based 3-piece and are breaking musical moulds with their unique sound. The band is fronted by singer and guitarist Calum MacInnes, who along with bassist Phil Thompson formed a band in 2003 in their native Highlands, only to move to Perth for their college course a year later and start afresh with the arrival of drummer Graeme Wilkie.

4.Falter are also a band from New Zealand who play rock music. Popular recent singles include "Message for You" and "Get Up".

Songs like "What’s the point?" and "Would you" with their in your face heavy guitars, dynamic vocals and hooking chorus's, creative bass lines and dramatic drums show their intense heavy side. The band also shows their more melodic, softer side with the songs "Blame” and "Lessons Learned." As the title of the cd states "Against All Odds", this band has truly pushed against all the odds to be where they are today and don't plan on leaving anytime soon.
