The Shy

The Shy is made up of siblings, Augustus and Addie Carroll. Starting in high school, the two began playing music together around the house as nothing more than a hobby. However, after playing at various open mic nights and school functions, it became clear that performing and writing music meant something more to them than they originally thought. Now, as they showcase their music around Nashville, they have found that their songs are more of an expression of themselves, and perhaps the community as a whole. Augustus, the primary writer of the duo, uses societal and personal happenings to construct heartfelt messages through song. More than anything the siblings wish to establish genuine connections and provoke new notions within the individuals they come across - all through their noninvasive and laid back style.. Hence their name, The Shy.
