Penny Rae

Indie singer-songwriter (with a twist of country) duo Penny Rae has enjoyed success with prior single releases of "Wake Up" and "Baby, It's Cold Outside." With music downloads covering most of the United States and Canada as well as a multitude of countries, now the duo has released their first EP. From Patti Griffin and Journey to Ben Folds Five and Radiohead, Penny Rae draws on a wide range of musical influences making their sound difficult to define. In an effort to define the band's sound, Andrew said "Think acoustic-based, indie singer-songwriter, with a twist of country and minimal hipster. And coffee. Lots of coffee. I will not start wearing unnecessary scarves." While the musical style may be difficult to define, the objective is not. According to Randi, "We just want to have fun playing music and sharing the songs we've written with anyone who wants to hear them." Simple enough.
