Hunter Rayne

Hunter Rayne Taylor is a young worship leader and singer/songwriter from Lafayette, Indiana. He began his musical career by playing drums and guitar for his church youth group while in middle school. He soon evolved into the worship co-leader when he began singing and playing piano. Exhibiting a passion for songwriting, Hunter Rayne expressed a maturity beyond his years with the lyrics and emotions expressed in his creations. Recording a number of EPs and distributing to family and friends, and receiving feedback from numerous experienced musicians, Hunter Rayne has continued to evolve into a sought after worship leader and encourager to youth. Hunter Rayne has led worship or held concerts in a number of churches throughout Indiana. He has also entertained in various festivals in Mid-north Indiana. He was the lead singer in now defunct band Scarlet Cord which released “Pack Up and Go” on Itunes. Blessed with musical gifts that he has been called to share, Hunter Rayne hopes to make music that bridges the gap between mainstream culture and his Christian faith. Recently, he was the winner of the Shirley Martin scholarship for young songwriters through SAMI- Songwriters Association of Mid-North Indiana-by entering a faith-based song in a secular songwriting contest. With a sound reminiscent of a blend of Jason Mraz, Chris August and The Script, Hunter Rayne has a unique voice that will bless and engage any age group, but most of all, honor the Lord.
