Gaelic Storm

What a fantastic show! I felt like I was at an Irish jam session. At first we were disappointed that two of our favorite Gaelic Storm musicians were out sick, and of course, we wish them a speedy recovery! But our disappointed melted away with the superb musicianship on the stage. We had our 18 year old grandson with us; it was his first concert! He loved it, and now I think he has the concert bug like the rest of our family. Great job everyone and thank for for a fabulous show.

Great venue for this show. And Gaelic Storm delivered an excellent concert. There were plenty of laughs, great musicianship and a spirited response from the audience. One of the cofounders of the group...Steve Twigger...is recovering from a stroke according to Patrick Murphy...so he was not with the band. His fill in...Parker Hastings of Nashville, TN...played guitar in his place (and on short notice) did a fantastic job! Natalya Kay on fiddle and vocals was phenomenal. Long time members Peter Pervis on bagpipes (and pipes) and Ryan Lacey on drums/percussion were outstanding as always. Both also handle vocals as well. And let's not forget the heart and soul of Gaelic Storm, Patrick Murphy on Lead Vocals, Accordion, Harmonica, Spoons and tells stories like only he can! What a fabulous night. Can't wait to see them again soon!!

Amazing all around. Being a huge fan of them and this type of music, I was so excited to finally get to see Gaelic Storm. I joked with them at the meet and greet afterward that I had completed my Irish Band bingo card by seeing them. I don't think my joke hit but none the less I was so impressed. And to my delight they played some of my favorites, including Darcy's Donkey. They were also working on some of their new tunes for their upcoming album, which sounded great. We will definitely make plans to see them again. 5 Stars!

Another lively comedy night with some classic Gaelic Storrm songs thrown in for good measure. One set of rousing, footstomping good times! Thanks to the band for giving 100% at the end of a long tour. The crowd started singing on song number 1 and never stopped. My best night of music this year.

We had a blast. Show was great, so much fun. Started right on time and they played for almost two hours. After show, they all came out to meet, sign, and pose for pics. Excellent show in a fun venue.

The band was amazing as usual. It was a lot of fun. The venue could use some updating. The air conditioning barely worked and a bathroom was flooded but my rating is for the band alone because they deserve the 5 stars.

We are big Gaelic Storm fans and look forward to seeing them every year. We even fly our son down from VA for the concert and drive an hour and a half to Clearwater. They were great at the concert but we didn't care for the Kingsmen. The Kingsmen are excellent musicians and all four have great voices however their music sucks. While GS is upbeat and fun the Kingsmen's music is dull and morose. They may be a "real" Irish band but I don't want to hear ballads about sad times in Irish history. I hope GS never tours with them again.

The concert itself was fantastic. Both Gaelic Storm and The High Kings were fabulous! Never a bad thing to say about the bands. However, the venue was terrible. Granted, I was in the balcony. But I could not see a thing because the seats are not set in such a way as to see past the person's head in front of you, even if they were not tall. So me and my friend, who stands at about 5 foot 2 inches, didn't actually get to see the concert except on the big screen. And I kept thinking, "I didn't want to pay $60+ just to watch TV. If the Chevalier theater is used again, I might consider purchasing tickets on the floor in hopes that the view is better. But I would definitely discourage anyone from purchasing balcony seats. My 2 cents. Sincerely, a HUGE fan of GS and their entire team. -Jeff Morris

High energy show! Gaelic Storm always sounds great live. Natalya is amazing- so impressive on the fiddle! We were not familiar with The high Kings before getting our tickets. We’re now fans. Their harmony is so beautiful; and their original lyrics are powerful. We had such a great time. The Keswick Theater provided an intimate setting for an evening of Irish music.

The theater was very nice and the performance from both Gaelic Storm & The High Kings was awesome, energetic and full of life and recognition of those who came before us and those we have lost. It was also just plain, old fun!

Gaelic Storm is always a fun show. They always like to joke that everyday is Friday in their world. Well the concert on February 24th actually was a Friday so Steve Twigger declared it St. Patrick's Day too. The band was formed about 25 years ago and Steve said if they played all the songs they have recorded over the years that they would need 10 hours to get through them all! We got to hear 19 of them at The Grand Opera House. There were a few traditional Irish songs...Irish Rover in the first set and A Cailin Deas Rua (The Beautiful Red Haired Girl) in the 2nd set. The latter song is sung in Gaelic and I found the lyrics extremely catchy. They also reached back into their vast catalog for some other lesser known gems such as The Long Way Home and Kellies Wellies in the first set. The second set featured some of the more well known songs...Johnny Tarr, Johnny Jump Up and One More Day Above The Roses. And of course there was the song that Patrick Murphy said was not about him called The Night Pat Murphey Died. He did interject that there were 3 times he almost died but he is like a cat (you know...having 9 lives). It's really funny to hear him tell it. As a matter of fact, he had numerous funny stories to tell during the course of the show. I left concert thinking that he is the best in the music business when it comes to story telling. And I would add that the entire band is extremely talented. The newest member, fiddle player Natalya Kay, is a great addition to the group. Ryan Lacey is an incredible percussionist. And the multi-talented Peter Pervis plays bagpipes, uillean pipes and whistle. I hope in future shows that they continue to reach back into their extensive catalog and play some of the lesser known songs. I found myself rediscovering deep cuts from their catalog after the concert and it was really great to listen to them again!

The artists were fantastic. The sound mixing was atrocious. The vocals were muted. I have seen high school productions with better sound mixing. The instruments were too loud. You couldn't understand what the artist was singing or saying.

I’ve seen GS 6 times live. This was one of the most intimate settings and one of their best performances I’ve seen. Sadly there were a number of songs I would have liked to hear, but a vast and awesome song selection can be difficult to pick from. Could have played another 1/2 and still just manage to get just a few more favorites in. Just an awesome experience. Will do it again in STL.

concert was amazing ,,, i am stage 4 cancer ,,, band came out for oncore and dedicated a song one more day above the roses to me ,, it meant the world to me ,, i was given one year from the doctors and i was at the concert over a year after being diagnosed ,, so it meant the world to me that they would do that for me ,, thank you Patrick murphy and the band !!! i will never forget it !!!

If I could give a million stars I would! There is no better show than Gaelic Storm. The music is top notch, the whole group has some of the nicest people you will ever meet and it is just an all around fantastic way to spend an evening. I can’t wait for the next time I get to see them.

It was an awesome show!! They played some oldies and some new stuff. Had a great, as always, rapport with the crowd. They are an amazingly fun live band. If you like Irish music, get to a Gaelic Storm show!

What a show! Seeing this band in such a great pub, how could you not have the time of your life? It would be 5 stars but there was too much talking by the people in the bar area. But that's a minor problem really.

I've lost count of how many times my husband and I have seen Gaelic Storm. We love seeing them - their shows are always so much fun. This was our kids' first time, and it was so exciting sharing this with them. My son is still talking about it all day today. He got pictures and autographs. Love these guys!!

Absolutely amazing show! Everyone was enthusiastic, and there were people of all ages. Gaelic Storm really knows how to connect to their audience with humor, stories and memorable music. Will definitely attend another show if I can!!!

Fantastic performance but honestly not the best venue for it. For these guys you want to be standing, dancing and passing them whiskey. This place was a concert venue and we were seated the whole time
