About Tim Williams Band

Philadelphia-based Tim Williams
has become a mainstay on the regional music scene and has earned the reputation of being one of the hardest working acts in the nation today, playing hundreds of live shows annually. Fronting the Tim Williams Band™ he’s opened for Weezer, Of Monsters and Men, Goo Goo Dolls, Gin Blossoms, lovelytheband, Violent Femmes, Butch Walker, Spin Doctors, Howie Day, Joshua Radin, Better Than Ezra, Ryan Star, Jon McLaughlin, Tristan Prettyman, Diane Birch, Marc Scibilia, Anya Marina, Jeffrey Gaines, JJAMZ, Good Old War and members of Live and Barenaked Ladies, among others. In addition, Tim Williams Band has been the backing band for both Eddie Money and Art Alexakis of Everclear at private events.

He’s traveled the country many times over…
playing smaller venues in big markets and in his former role as producer and house musician for the multi media talk show MyFixitUpLife. Tim’s been featured in numerous film, television and theater productions – notably “Invincible”, a regional production of RENT, and several national TV ad campaigns for Draft Kings and Stanley Steemer. He performed his song Joplin, in Joplin, at the 2nd Anniversary Ceremony of the terrible storm on May 22, 2013 to a crowd comprised of the residents of Joplin, the Mayor of Joplin, the Governor of Missouri and Director of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano. The song was inspired by his time spent on a volunteer rebuild trip to Joplin with MyFixitUpLife and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition 6 months after the tornado that took so many lives.

Along with his band, he opened the Radio 104.5 Summer Block Party in July 2012 as direct support for Of Monsters and Men & JJAMZ (to a crowd of 6,000) and has played almost every stage in Philadelphia, becoming a mainstay at local venues The Block at Harrah’s Philadelphia, Bourbon Blue, World Cafe Live, the TLA, The Foundry at The Fillmore and Tin Angel. Along with his bandmates he plays the World Famous Hogs Breath Saloon in Key West several weeks a year. He was twice Invited on stage by his Second City friend’s Katie Rich and Julie Nichols to perform as the musical guest on The Second City’s mainstage in Chicago during the improvised 3rd “set” (2 crazy I-can’t-believe-I’m-here experiences).

He’s received a great deal of radio support in the Philadelphia-area…
thanks in large part to multiple in-studio performances at Radio 104.5 and 93.7 WSTW, airplay on Radio 104.5 WRFF, 93.3 WMMR, 97.5 The Fanatic (ESPN) and 94 WIP, and has received on-air praise from Chio in the Morning on Mix 106.1 FM Philadelphia. He has performed live on Philadelphia television multiple times, including The Q on Fox 29, NBCs The 10! Show, 6ABC News and PHL17s Eye Opener Philadelphia. His music has also been heard many times as bumper music on Fox 29s News at 5. Tims had the good fortune of playing for tens of thousands of people throughout his career, and because of his tireless touring schedule, has found himself at times playing music for international celebrities who happened to be in the audience at his show… most notably the band Lifehouse, John Mayer, Jason Aldean, Anthony Bourdain, Top Chefs Jennifer Carroll & Eric Ripert, Members of the Philadelphia Phillies/Eagles/Sixers/Flyers, Broadcasters Troy Aikman & Joe Buck, Dallas Cowboy Michael Irvin, NBAs Lebron James & Dwyane Wade, Former Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter, Extreme Makeovers Ty Pennington, Cheers John Ratzenberger, stars of the DIY Network, HGTVs Property Brothers Drew and Jonathan Scott and The Cousins John and Anthony, This Old House, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Man Caves, and he has even appeared on Restaurant: Impossible and Save My Bakery on The Food Network. With 3 albums, 2009s We Begin, 2012s Blue Ribbon, 2016s Part Time Local and a high energy, often comedic stage show, Tim has drawn comparisons to Matt Nathanson, Rob Thomas and Glen Phillips of Toad the Wet Sprocket. Blue Ribbon and Part Time Local can be heard on Pandora and all 3 of his albums are available on iTunes, Amazon and Spotify under Tim Williams Band. TimWilliams.com
