About Folly Fields

Folly Fields is an Indie-folk-rock collaborative project started in Philadelphia in 2012 by singer-songwriter and guitarist Ally Leedy. Together they weave synth-pop sounds with folkloric narratives. Listening to Irish-folk music growing up in rural Ohio Leedy started writing and performing at age 15. She now draws on a wide range of influences and inspirations, from Sharon Van Etten and Juana Molina to The National and Sufjan Stevens. Folly Fields released their first album "Limbs and Longings" in 2014. Their most recent EP "Fluid Lungs" (2015) is available on bandcamp, soundcloud, spotify and itunes. Folly Fields's second full-length album released in February 2017 was written and recorded at Gullkistan artist residency in Iceland in collaboration with bass/banjo/guitar player Ilan Jenkins.
