Imperial Triumphant was horrible. Their music does not translate live. The rest of the show rocked. Petrification was great.

Great show last night. Local band Re-Buried kicked things off and won the crowd over with a top notch, albeit short set that spotlighted their intensity. Another local band Mortiferum (the billed opening act for the tour) were up next and absolutely ripped. Their death-doom style with multiple vocalists fit in perfectly with the sound characteristics of the venue, and they reinforced the opinion I had of them from their top notch 2021 album, i.e. 'best death-doom album of 2021'. Imperial Triumphant came next. I'm a huge fan and if you haven't seen them live, you should. Acoustically, the venue was not ideal for their musical style, but the band's performance more than made up for this. Their theatrics, the lights and smoke, walking through the crowd while they're playing, they are insanely entertaining as a live act. Immolation closed out the show and showed why they are, in my opinion, the best death metal act in the business. Somehow, Ross Dolan manages to sound even more powerful live than he does on record. Their set included a mix of old and mid-era, as well as an obviously heavy emphasis on Atonement and especially Acts of God. Immolation Setlist of the Seattle show (Intro) Abandoned (played on speakers as band walked out) 1. An Act of God 2. The Age of No Light 3. Majesty & Decay 4. Noose of Thorns 5. When the Jackals Come 6. Father You're Not a Father 7. Into Everlasting Fire 8. Blooded 9. Swarm of Terror 10. Rise the Heretics 11. Broken Prey 12. The Distoring Light 13. Kingdom of Conspiracy 14. Let the Darkness In 15. Immolation (interlude) And the Flames Wept (played on speakers) 16. Apostle

The venue was cool, the show was awesome , but the parking situation for this place is the pits!
