Carts Before Horses

Hi there! We’re Carts Before Horses. We’re two sisters who have a passion for music and who have recently started covering/writing/recording songs and posting them on our personal tumblr! Beez and I have been blessed with the wonderful opportunity to start playing music in our hometown and were encouraged by those who “hired” us to start a “blog”, post covers on youtube, and start “being an actual band.” We’re so excited to try and start being more serious about making music and have recently started writing. Though our initial attempts may be feeble, everyone has to start somewhere, right? So, why Carts Before Horses? We realize how silly our band name is but, it describes how all of this has gotten started fairly accurately. :) Making music, having the opportunity to play locally, and just all of the circumstances surrounding our beginning has happened suddenly and not at all in the order we thought “starting a band” would. It’s been interesting for sure. Even though we have done this whole thing in reverse order (*ahem* gigs before we were even officially making music), we are so amazed at the outpouring of love and support that continue to be offered up by friends, Tumblr friends, mentors, and especially family. We are so grateful to anyone who believes in us, and to YOU for taking the time out to check out what we do. It’s still rough, but, hey, we’re learning as we go!
