About Marjorie Estiano

Marjorie Estiano (born in March 8, 1982 in Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil) is a Brazilian popular actress and singer who rose to prominence in 2004 playing Natasha in the Brazilian teen series Malhação.

* Biography
Marjorie is the second of three siblings from the Estiano family. In high school, she signed the Tecnic Course Of Cenic Arts in Paraná. When she finished the course, she moved to São Paulo to improve her acting abilities. Then, she studied Music in college for two years, and Publicity, also in college, for one year. While studying, she made some TV commercials and played minor plays in theater. After this, she was aproved in the TV Globo Actor's Workshop and moved to Rio de Janeiro. Then, she signed the cast of Malhação, and started playing minor roles at first. Subsequently, she earned the role of Natasha, the villain in the 2004 cast. As Natasha was the bass player of the band Vagabanda, she had the opportunity to show her talent as a singer to the series' director, Victor Pozas. Then, she started sharing the vocals of the band with Gustavo (Guilherme Berenguer). After Marjorie's vocals tasted success in Vagabanda with public, Pozas and his fellow Alexandre Castilho started recording demo tapes with Estiano and sending them to several record labels. Universal Music was interested, and hired Marjorie. And then, after tiring months in studio, her selftitled debut album was released. The first single, "Você Sempre Será", which was previously performed in Malhação, hit the top of Brazilian charts, and won the Faustão's The Best Of The Year award for Song Of The Year. The second single, "Por Mais Que Eu Tente", is now receiving heavy airplay.
