About Twenty First Century Fox

Twenty First Century Fox, aka TFCF, are a high energy art pop band from Louisville, Ky. Twenty First Century Fox began as a B-52's tribute band under the handle Mock Lobster in 2008. In 2012 the long-time friends began collaborating on original material with a wider list of influences ranging from Black Sabbath to Helium. The result was catchy tunes and experimentation via a three-guitar attack. TFCF’s first offering was the digital EP, Guitars Guitars Guitars. They put out their first full-length record Pet Rounds in 2015, followed by 2016 release YR WELCOME.

Twenty First Century Fox are pleased to announce the release of their latest offering, New Energy. The album is a culmination of writing and playing music together for seven years. After a mini tour to promote Yr Welcome, the band were returning home from Cincinnati talking about anything and everything. When the conversation turned to creating new music, each member expressed a desire to make something new and different. In the spirit of exploration, they did everything from rearranging their practice space to bringing in unfamiliar instruments such as piano and percussive instruments.

Transformation is the overarching theme of New Energy. Explorations of grief ("La La Croix"), addiction and poverty ("Rats in the Cellar”), and destruction ("Dance!!!") are served with TFCF’s unique brand of tongue in cheek humor ("Satanic Panic Part II") and a shot of encouragement (“Twinning").

New Energy was recorded and artfully mixed at the lovely La La Land by Anne Gauthier and mastered by Dave Rucinski of Gubbey Records. New Energy will be released on CD by Gubbey Records on May 25.
