Wonderful concert. The Band really enjoyed themselves and were relaxed and happy. First time I have seen them but have many many BARK cd's and by Stephen Fearing and Tom Wilson too. It was great seeing Colin Linden and special guests Colin James and Ms. Lightfoot and Ryder. As a grandmother I was happy to see Levon perform on the encore. Good job Levon!

OMG! What a fantastic show!! I go to a LOT of shows - always have - AND I'm a musician so my bar is set pretty high. This show was killer good in every way. Digging Roots were fantastic - mother, father and son! Wow. Great music, great message. And then all those "mature" men in BARK playing their asses off for 2 and a half hours!! Add into all that goodness Terry Lightfoot and Colin James joining in - WOW!!! It was stellar. I've seen Colin Linden many times and love him. Amazing songwriter, slide player and singer. Stephen Fearing I've also seen before and love. I've never seen Tom Wilson but certainly know of him (Junkhouse) and holy hell - he's incredible live! I particularly loved when he read from his book and told us that he's Mohawk. There were a ton of musicians in the audience which we all know means it's actually a "happening". And it was. I came out of there full to the brim with the good feeling you get from a really fab show. Thank you!!

About Blackie and the Rodeo Kings

It was in late fall 1995 that Canadian roots icon Colin Linden, Tom Wilson, then lead singer and songwriter of Canadian rock heroes Junkhouse, and Stephen Fearing, the Irish-Canadian poet laureate of Canadian folk music, first came together in the basement of Linden’s Toronto apartment. The somewhat disparate threesome were all long-time fans of the criminally unsung Ontario-based singer-songwriter Willie P. Bennett. What brought them together on that chilly evening was they were starting rehearsals and pre-production for what was planned as a one-off tribute album that would shine a light on the wonderful body of work that Willie P. Bennett had written over the course of his two decade career.
