Take Today

Take Today formed in 2003. Line up changes caused setbacks that would cause a brief hiatus in 2007. Returning briefly in 2009, Take Today truly transformed in 2014 with the released of "Communiques, Volume One". Setting the tone for what would follow, a handful of singles & the release of "Communiques, Volume Two". Take Today would then venture into the ska / punk world with the "SKAdiving / Up To The Top" single (featuring guest performances from members of Catbite, Flying Raccoon Suit, Omnigone, & more). BrooklynVegan having called the band's single Skydiving "catchy grunge/pop punk hybrid" had this to say about the ska reimagining - "The song genuinely rips, and doesn't just feel like a fun experiment on the side or anything. Both "SKAdiving" and "Skydiving" stand on their own". In late 2022, the band reissued their previous Communiques EPs & various singles into the "Communiques" album & followed that up in early 2023 with what BrooklynVegan called "two crisp, anthemic new songs" in the "So Impossible / Burying Me" single.
