Upsurt

Upsurt was created in the begining of 1996 by Ico, Venci , mr. Butch and Panchev. These boys have been friends since children and their experimenting began like a game in front of the radio. The game was really interesting, and they recorded their voices on audio casette and then listened tp it again and again. It all happened before 1996, when they recorded their first sigle in "Sububula" studio. They chose rap music, because it is street music and is close to the people. Everyone can understand its meaning and its message.
The best period of Upsurt's musical carrer started in november 1997, when they won their first price in "Razdrav hip-hip awards". That is when the hip-hop group "Upsurd" was launched. In october 2000, Upsurd recorded a single called "Chekai Malko" (Wait a while) with Vasil Naidenov, which achieved great success in 2000. Till 2004 they had recorded 2 not so commercially successful albums. When in 2004 they signed an agreement with Nescafe, they made their most popular songs with PR of Nescafe, called "3 v 1", "Vtora Cedka", "Kolega" and many more. These songs are from the last album of Upsurt, called "Quattro".
The album "Quattro" made Upsurd the best-selling group in Bulgarian hip-hop scene. Their best-sold album consist of songs like "Stiga fira", "I tvoita maika sushto" (featuring Beloslava). This albums was created with participation of Milen Cvetkov, Beloslava, Galja (from duet Karizma), Lili Joncheva and many more singers and musicians.
