Esperanza

What can I say, I was once again blown away with Esperanza's high octane gig. They are hands down THE best ska group in the UK right now. Their energy is off the scale. One of the reasons I rate them so highly is because they write their own tracks, and they're so upbeat and tongue in cheek. Some of the lyrics are so funny, but it's all done in Esperanza's inimitable style. I know plenty of ska groups on the circuit. No one even comes close! They're not just any old ska group they're a team, from Jake's high leading energy right through every player, they all contribute. McChuills, although it has fantastic staff and it's so welcoming, is just not the right venue for the calibre of Esperanza. In my opinion, it was such a sweat box of a place. It's hotter than hellfire in there! 2 tiny a/c units that aren't fit for purpose. They need better air con units, cos they're literally burning electricity for no benefit, and that's from a (retired) air conditioning engineer!! They'd be as well saving the cost and not using them!
