Maddie Monroe

Maddie Monroe is a young and accomplished singer/songwriter currently residing in Baton Rouge, LA. Maddie draws on her experiences and New Orleans roots to create an authentic and fresh brand of guitar driven pop country. With thoughtful lyrics and soaring vocals, Maddie has begun to build a strong following and is looking to the horizon and beyond as she seeks new and challenging opportunities as an artist. “I think of music as the ultimate form of expression, and a way of putting myself in different situations and places,” says Maddie. “People say, ‘if you can dream it, you can do it.’ I say, ‘if you can dream it, you should sing about it.’” Maddie has played a number of local venues in Atlanta including Roswell Tap, Pure Woodstock, Famous Pub, Sip, and Union. She is also a frequent guest at local festivals as Milton Roundup and Johns Creek Founders Day, and open mics such as Eddie Owen’s Presents at the Red Clay Theater, Locos Buckhead, and the famous Florabama Lounge in Pensacola, FL. And, yes, she has had the honor of playing at the Jeff Foxworthy GritChip 200! Maddie has completed her first EP at Alpharetta’s Lucky Dog Studios, with Courtney Rinehart and lead engineer Joe Kay. She has also appeared on the studio’s Christmas album, as well as their Summer album. In 2013, she signed to Highway 9 Records in which she worked with them on a few singles.
