About Offworld

OFFWORLD crash landed in the dunes of Cape Cod near Boston, on Earth in 2018, a planet ruled by evil aliens. We’re self-releasing music on Earth to raise coin for a new spacecraft to escape this planet. Our first album "Grey Dawn" was recorded with a human named Jon Evans at Brick Hill Studio, with two mixes by Joel Hamilton at Studio G 5000, and mastered by Joe LaPorta at Sterling Sound:

A 2nd album is releasing early 2018, produced by Jon Evans with two mixes by Paul Malinowski of Shiner.

This is weird, heavy guitar rock featuring Boston-area punk/prog guitar wizard Craig Adams. Over one year, the album evolved into an entrancing vocal-heavy space rock epic. Producer Jon Evans (Tori Amos / Ridiculon) brought many levels of musicality to the album and played bass on three songs. "Save the Humans?" and "Mind Over Mind" were mixed by Joel Hamilton (Tom Waits/Dub Trio). The EP was mastered by Joe LaPorta, because he did David Bowie's last record and that's awesome.

GREY DAWN starts with the band's arrival on Earth in "Lunar Schooner", featuring Jeremy Flower's psychedelic synths, subliminal binaural frequencies, Tibetan chanting, and completely abstracted guitars. The tight rhythm section of Darren Lourie (Meliah Rage) and David Silver (Season to Risk) propel the album with varying degrees of heaviness. Ethereal and spooky vocals by RAIN observe life on this dark world from an Offworld perspective. Songs range from the driving rhythms of the trippy opening tracks to the metal-edged anthems "Save the Humans?" and "Mind Over Mind". The last song is the well timed post-election apocalypse soundtrack "The End Is Here".

GREY DAWN 6-song album, released on Halloween 2016.
