The Paper Kites

The band itself was great! I wish they played longer. However it wasn’t clear to me from the ticket that the Paper Kites wouldn’t play until after 9pm!!! So we got there about 7pm as the ticket advertised. Then stood for a full hour waiting for something to happen. About 8pm the support act started. It was ok but not really professional and went on for about 45 mins. That’s not what I paid for and came to listen to and there was no information whatsoever prior to the concert who the support act would be. The ticket just said special guests. So by 9pm we were already standing in one place for 2hrs. That is a loooong time! Then stood another 1.5hrs for the band I actually came to see. Next time write on the tickets who the support act is, what time the actual paid band will start and that the venue is standing room only! If not for the 3.5hrs of standing and little info I would have given it 5 stars.

So so enthralled by my first concert experience. Skillbox a big shoutout for organising such a great event. Missed Christina Lacy though at the mumbai concert. Rest I wished I got my whiskey sour. I settled for a beer. Cheers to more such events.

I love the Paper Kites' music. I loved this concert at the Birchmere. I bought 12 tickets and reserved the table in the back of the hall for my family and friends. It was an amazing day. Everyone became Paper Kite followers on that day and we reminiscence about still. Please come back to Virginia.

Maybe THE best concert I have had in many years! It was a superb playlist, outstanding vocal performance, and perfect harmony between the band members. I hope they will have a concert in the Melbourne area in December or January! :-)

a fantastic event that so perfectly encapsulated the vibes of their first two eps, even though they won't being doing that specifically again (at least any time soon) i highly recommend seeing them live they were so kind and fantastic performers

The Botnique is a very nice venue for sure in downtown Brussels. The music evening concerts started with the artist Benni and her band and it was a total discovery for me and I liked her songs and music. Followed by one of my favorite singer songwriter William Fitzsimmons. I did feel sorry for him and his fellow guitarist touring with him (2 men band) as there was so much surrounding noises in the chapiteau during their live performances, many people were more focusing on talking to each others than listening to the artists on stage that it was almost impossible to really hear his live acoustic music and songs. I would have been him, I would have left the stage instead of going on with his live set. It was really a shame from the people in and around the chapiteau. Many people did not respect the artist on stage. The final act of the evening was great in the company of the Paper Kites band. I have been really hooked with their music since I dicovered them few years ago. And they gave a really great live gig perforances and I really enjoyed it big time. Their acoustic accapella version of "bloom" was magic.

Wow, definitely the best concert I have been to in a very long time; the whole evening was just amazing starting with the beautiful Roadhouse songs, before launching into some of their more heavy stuff, interspersed with some accoustics around a single guitar; the interaction with the audience was just brilliant. What an amazing band, and good to see the Roadhouse crew with them, and Rosie Carney too. Just such a fab evening.

Magical, such amazing talent. Filled the space with amazing harmonies, musicianship and warmth. They should really have been booked at Winspear, imagine the sound in there!...not to mention, better seating and nightlines. Personable intimate show, could have gone on for hours.

The Paper Kites were amazing! Sam is sometimes a little hard to hear/understand over the guitars. The a capella portions were hard to hear as well - too quiet. The venue wasn't the best. At least from where we watched the show, there was too much noise from the various bars and the merch table was way too loud and distracted from the music. A+ for the band, C+ for the Wonder Ballroom.

So though I was not present for the Howard Theatre show. I was present for the Woodstock Ny show the previous Saturday. At Levon Helms and the show at Racket in NYC. Both shows were phenomenal. Each show old and new fans experienced the greatness of the paper kites. The Road house band had a few new musicians on the tour. The bands sound and lighting made the night magical. The two are amazing at what they do. The band are equally great and bring their own unique gifts that makes this band one of the greatest bands of this era. Lead vocalist Sam Bentley vocals remind you of floating on the most beautiful cloud you have ever seen.

What an unbelievable show! Opening with Cactus Blossoms for a start got the show off in a fantastic way. Then after a break, on came the Kites with the Roadhouse Band. I honestly can't tell you how tight this band is. Just a great example of musicians who are experts of their craft.

Great show! Nice mixture of newer and older songs all performed on A-level! MARO also was a great and fitting support act. About Tivoli, I am a big fan of the venue. It's spacious and well organized.

The paper kites never fail to leave me in absolute awe. Each concert I’ve been to I’ve had to travel out of both the state and country and truly it does not matter how annoying the journey getting there is or how much it costs me, if the destination is seeing these amazingly talented people perform live, I’ll always show up.

The band absolutely blew me away, they’re so so much better live than recorded (and I think their recordings are the best). They know how to put on an incredible show and are very talented musicians. I highly recommend seeing them live, I know I will next time they come back!

This was one of the best shows I've ever seen. The band is so passionate about what they do and this results in such a special connection between them and the audience. There were parts of this show that were truly magical. They were funny and engaging and so thankful for everyone there. I would recommend a Paper Kites concert even to someone who had never heard them before.

SO GOOD LIVE!!!!!!!!!! such quality music. Some bands are not so good live or don't get all notes on key, but they were amazing, both Paper Kites and Wild Rivers. They even did a song together. They all had such precision in voice control and amazing harmonies!!!

They have the most wonderful vibe! I would highly recommend 🖤 Wild Rivers opened up the show as well and did a fantastic job. It was their first show in SD and I'm hoping they come back soon 💛

The Paper Kites and Doe Paoro were amazing! The only thing was the venue. The sound was great but we could hear the music from another band playing in the other hall during the more intimate Paper Kites songs. It kind of ruined the moment.
