Bachman-Turner Overdrive

Uh, my feelings are mixed tbh. I grew up with BTO. High school in the 70's, soooo....I bought good seats (center section floor, at the front of the second cluster). Any time Randy was singing and doing his thing it was great. Just great. I saw Bachman once before in Thunder Bay doing a solo show with some (hispanic?) guitarist heading to a big show in Toronto and THAT show was magnificent. But the BTO songs were kinda mixed with the other main vocalist, to my mind he just didn't sound/feel like BTO...and surely to gawd his rendition of Guess Who songs was just dire afaic. I could have done without any Guess Who songs (and I LOVE that band, and have always wanted to see it live and haven't managed to) in this show. Tal Bachman was great. His singing his own song was an unexpected highlight. And their encore with a medley of songs with others was fabulous....heck, I thought it was better than the non-Bachman BTO stuff. So, overall if I heard this show was coming to Halifax again I wouldn't go and see it.

We were at the Saint John, NB show and we had a blast! Headpins were great, a really good way to start the show. April Wine has tremendous energy and did a fantastic job. Watching Randy Bachman play the guitar with a drumstick broke my brain. I couldn't believe what I was seeing vs what I was hearing. Completely worth that, the rest of the show was having and eating my cake. :)

Great concert, loved the footage played during the songs. So many memories! I'm glad I got to see Randy Bachman play live one more time. He's still got it! And Koko Bachman on drums? Incredible!

What a great show. From the openers Headpins and April Wine and of course, Winnipegs own BTO. It was an homage to the past and historic visit of rock and roll

Wow! This was an event worth going to! Headpins didnt disappoint and aprilwine blew me away! And BTO was THE BEST! I would have enjoyed some space to groove, and the people around me needed room also! Other than that, it was a great way to spend 4 hours with a couple of the best bands from my era!

Well it wasn't BTO but it WAS Randy Bachman and it was fabulous. The stories he told about his life as a musician were enlightening. Even my hard rocker been to see every rock and roll band since the mid 70's and watch every rock and roll band documentary SO learned new things. I We had a great time even though our seats were about 3 seats apart but it was a lifetime experience. Do more of this and we will be back with seats next to each other! Randy Bachman still rocks!

It was a fantastic concert! We all loved it and were so happy we went! The story telling by Randy was great, as well as the music! I highly recommend it!

The show was fantastic! The band was really tight and sounded great! I know all of us that listened to them in the 70s and 80s are up there in age. They had a lot of energy for old dudes! :)

Solid concert. Vocals are somewhat flawed, but guitar-work remains recognizably solid! The concert evolves through pre-BTO and Guess Who tracks, and then lands on most of BTOs hits. Not the original BTO, but still a nice flashback under Randy Bachman’s enduring presence. A fun night out and highly recommended!

Absolutely incredible. I have seen them over 20 times and they continue to exceed my expectations. Randy was awesome and took some time to interject band history and stories into the performance. They played some of his Guess Who songs as well in the beginning and wrapped it up with a montage of songs to get them all in. They played for 2 hours with no backup band.

Epic, awesome, intense, etc. Randy sounded great and the band was fantastic. His kid wailed on guitar and piano, and they mix of music was fantastic. Great stories and live audience, best concert this millennium for me!

Randy Bachman is the only original member but seeing him play with his son is great on its own. All the band guys are top notch with Mick Dalla-Vee doing a great job singing Fred Turners songs. Marc LaFrance is a very solid drummer and the other guitar player supported the band very, very well. Overall, a fun night of nostalgic music and stories!

It was awesome. Great venue and Randy and the guys can still rock it. 110 minutes of non stop hits from Guess Who, BTO and Tal Bachman. Worth the trip from Washington State for this concert in the historic Surf Ballroom. If you can see Randy and the band, I highly recommend.

I love The Guess Who but this was a Bachman-Turner Overdrive show. I understand that Randy Bachman was the driving force in The Guess Who but there were far too many Guess Who tunes at the expense of B.T.O. tunes.

Randy was spot on. Tal decided to shoot off his mouth at the end saying that he could hear the sounds of gunfire from Detroit which was a blatant fabrication. I think he's going soft in the head.

Nice venue, Ridiculous prices for beer $14 pop $7, wine $18? Great show, nice BTO band & Randy Bachman is a True Master guitarist and writer. Especially nice that he told the stories of his life his career & where he got the ideas for songs. 80 years old & He Rocks!

What a great show!! It was great to hear the history of music and the story’s behind songs inspiration. Randy is great storyteller, singer and master guitarist.

Randy and the band were on fire! The rendition of No Time (The Guess Who) was lights out! Highly recommend seeing them if you get a chance 👍👏🤘🎸🎶

BTO did not disappoint! The place was rockin! Great venue for this concert, they know how to manage a crowd, and very friendly people! I am so thrilled I got to see BTO! If you get a chance to see these guys, Go !!!

Awesome night, great music and storytelling. Was surprised though we got the impression Fred Turner was going to be with Randy Bachman. Randy Bachman doesn’t age he looks better than ever.
