Bachman-Turner Overdrive

Have always wanted to see BTO for over 30 years and finally got to see the current lineup. Their classic songs sounded great and they even threw in a few Guess Who hits as an added bonus. Only negative was something was wrong with Randy's guitar and a tech was on stage distracting from the show. This went on for way too long. Still it's a fun show well worth seeing.

In Dallas, Bachman-Turner Overdrive reminded the crowd why their music has never faded from classic rock playlists. The band delivered a powerhouse performance that was equal parts nostalgia and sheer rock ‘n’ roll force, proving that their sound still resonates just as strongly in 2025 as it did in the 1970s. Bachman-Turner Overdrive didn’t just play a concert; they created an experience that bridged generations. Parents who grew up with the band’s music brought their kids, and together they sang, danced, and celebrated the timelessness of rock. Rating: 5/5 – A night of unforgettable energy, musicianship, and pure rock ‘n’ roll soul.

The c****o venue auditorium or the sound board couldn't handle the BTO loudness, as too frequently the bass drowned out other players and vocals. Excessive reverbs galore. Physically feeling deep tones isn't always unenjoyable, far from it -- until it becomes the first thing you remember about the music concert. Randy played very well, and the Guess Who tunes in particular were solid, but alot of people didn't stick around for the encore. It was a good set list, downgraded by some mediocre acoustics.

My wife and I go to a lot of concerts and the BTO show was one of the best shows we have seen in a very long time. It was very well put together and because being a Canadian band and their ties to Blood, Sweat & Tears back in the 70's, Randy Bachman even did an amazing tribute set to B,S & T that blew the audience away. In addition, throughout the entire concert they had up on a screen behind them, video and photo footage from back in their 70's heydays which was really cool to watch as they played. If you have a chance to see the 2025 tour in your area - or in future years - do not pass up an opportunity to see them. You will not regret one minute of their show!!!!!!

This was a wonderful show and they really got rocking in the medley at the end. Paula resort and c****o provided an excellent venue and our room was spectacular overlooking the concert stage from the 9th floor. The Paula staff were very friendly and accommodating before and during the concert. As for BTO, Randy Bachman is the best. His son, Tai performed with him and his wife Koko on drums. Koko was awesome. joining them was Fred Turner. At the end they presented their new baby as the new member of the band. *** The reason I didn't give it five stars was the base player, Lance lapointe. He sang lead vocals quite a bit and I found his character out of sync with the original BTO. He did not blend well with the band. It seems like he wanted to be the star of the show. He alternated between shouting like a loud country singer and jumping around like a new wave guy.

I know it’s rock but the sound quality diminishes a little when it’s actually too loud. But my main reason for this review: the Asian female drummer!!! She was definitely rocking out and was great! They said each band member’s name near the end of the show, but we couldn’t understand due to the noise of the crowd, etc. BTO is classic and I enjoyed their show and would see them again if it’s a “reasonable” price. As for the drummer that night, I’m a female music lover of almost all genres, and I’m young and old enough to know a wide variety of artists in different genres and “eras, ” and I’d love to watch her perform again with almost any group, or solo. You go girl

Amazing night at the Vilar Center in Beaver Creek, CO. BTO rocked the house, especially with their encore medley of hit songs from other bands in the 60s and 70s before closing out with Taking Care of Business. We got tix 2 hours before the concert and worth every penny!

Great show. They had everyone on their feet. I've been to quite a few concerts in the past few years. BTO had a vibe that brought me closest to my concert-going youth. Besides the BTO hits, they played a medley of Guess Who tunes and American Woman in full. Randy Bachman's son, Tal Bachman did his hit, She's So High. For the encore, they began with Hey You, but then went into a medley of Rock 'n' Roll from the Stones, the Beatles, Free, T. Rex, AC/DC, and others that had everyone singing along, then closing the show with Takin' Care of Business.

A rare chance to see one of the truly extraordinary guitar virtuosos of our time, Randy Bachman, perform live. Not just a repeating of well-known songs, but a deep dive into the life and enormous talent of this man. On this night he was accompanied by his son Tal on guitar and his daughter-in-law Koko on drums, both of whom were incredible.

The show was great. BTO rocked it. Only problem was the sound tent. The peak of it was in the middle of the stage. Had to watch the jumbotron to see any close video. Jefferson Starship was good but their sound was kind of distorted. Marshall Tucker's sound was better. BTO sounded great. Played all the songs we knew and could sing along with. Including Guess Who songs.

Great show. BTO rocked out the evening with hit after hit. Even hits of the Guess Who and a medley of other artist favorites. I traveled all the way from North Carolina to hear these groups Worth the 17 hours of flights and delays to get to Fargo.

Uh, my feelings are mixed tbh. I grew up with BTO. High school in the 70's, soooo....I bought good seats (center section floor, at the front of the second cluster). Any time Randy was singing and doing his thing it was great. Just great. I saw Bachman once before in Thunder Bay doing a solo show with some (hispanic?) guitarist heading to a big show in Toronto and THAT show was magnificent. But the BTO songs were kinda mixed with the other main vocalist, to my mind he just didn't sound/feel like BTO...and surely to gawd his rendition of Guess Who songs was just dire afaic. I could have done without any Guess Who songs (and I LOVE that band, and have always wanted to see it live and haven't managed to) in this show. Tal Bachman was great. His singing his own song was an unexpected highlight. And their encore with a medley of songs with others was fabulous....heck, I thought it was better than the non-Bachman BTO stuff. So, overall if I heard this show was coming to Halifax again I wouldn't go and see it.

We were at the Saint John, NB show and we had a blast! Headpins were great, a really good way to start the show. April Wine has tremendous energy and did a fantastic job. Watching Randy Bachman play the guitar with a drumstick broke my brain. I couldn't believe what I was seeing vs what I was hearing. Completely worth that, the rest of the show was having and eating my cake. :)

Wow! This was an event worth going to! Headpins didnt disappoint and aprilwine blew me away! And BTO was THE BEST! I would have enjoyed some space to groove, and the people around me needed room also! Other than that, it was a great way to spend 4 hours with a couple of the best bands from my era!

Well it wasn't BTO but it WAS Randy Bachman and it was fabulous. The stories he told about his life as a musician were enlightening. Even my hard rocker been to see every rock and roll band since the mid 70's and watch every rock and roll band documentary SO learned new things. I We had a great time even though our seats were about 3 seats apart but it was a lifetime experience. Do more of this and we will be back with seats next to each other! Randy Bachman still rocks!

Absolutely incredible. I have seen them over 20 times and they continue to exceed my expectations. Randy was awesome and took some time to interject band history and stories into the performance. They played some of his Guess Who songs as well in the beginning and wrapped it up with a montage of songs to get them all in. They played for 2 hours with no backup band.

The event was great! Grabbed dinner at the TAP sports bar, then headed over to the Center Stage. Randy Bachman & BTO put on an awesome show! Not only did they play all of the Bachman Turner Overdrive hits, . . . they also delved back into the Guess Who songs. It was a great way to celebrate our wedding anniversary!

Randy Bachman is the only original member but seeing him play with his son is great on its own. All the band guys are top notch with Mick Dalla-Vee doing a great job singing Fred Turners songs. Marc LaFrance is a very solid drummer and the other guitar player supported the band very, very well. Overall, a fun night of nostalgic music and stories!

It was awesome. Great venue and Randy and the guys can still rock it. 110 minutes of non stop hits from Guess Who, BTO and Tal Bachman. Worth the trip from Washington State for this concert in the historic Surf Ballroom. If you can see Randy and the band, I highly recommend.

Nice venue, Ridiculous prices for beer $14 pop $7, wine $18? Great show, nice BTO band & Randy Bachman is a True Master guitarist and writer. Especially nice that he told the stories of his life his career & where he got the ideas for songs. 80 years old & He Rocks!
