About Michael Lynch

Michael Lynch has been winning over diverse fans with his powerful voice and dynamic performances for years. Born and raised outside of Chicago, Michael was fascinated by music from an early age. With diverse musical influences from the old-school crooners such as Frank Sinatra, Sam Cooke, and Ray Charles to the Pop superstars of today like Michael Jackson and Justin Timberlake, Michael’s inspired-style has led him to create a distinct Pop sound all his own. As a fluent Spanish speaker, he is equally comfortable singing in both English and Spanish. He displayed his bilingual talent as he sang and danced with Christina Aguilera on NBC’s hit show “The Voice” during his Season 5 blind audition. What makes Michael most unique is that his career has been shaped by experiences outside of music as well. Starting at the age of fourteen, Michael began working on a landscaping crew where his co-workers started teaching him Spanish and introduced him to Latin music. He immediately fell in love with the language, but also the sounds and rhythms of the different musical genres he had never before been exposed to. Building on his two biggest passions, Michael went on to study Music and Spanish at the University of Iowa. This is where he found a new level of success in music when he began performing at different competitions and also joined a gospel choir. During college, Michael was able to travel to Mexico, Spain, and Brazil to continue his language studies. “My greatest memories have come from the opportunity to travel and see the world from a different perspective. These unforgettable experiences have made me who I am today.” Music never left his side as he continued to create his own path, and in 2010, Michael found his way back to Mexico to study at a music school in Mexico City. After almost a year of writing and recording, he moved to Miami. He appeared on Univision’s longest running program, “Sábado Gigante” in 2011 and worked in Miami as a vocalist in both English and Spanish. In 2012, Michael moved back to Chicago and is currently writing and performing steadily. With other notable performances such as New Year’s Eve at The Bellagio in Las Vegas, to singing the National Anthem for Game 5 of the playoffs for the Chicago Bulls, to headlining at The Chicago Auto Show, Michael's determination, experience, and unmistakable talent have him poised to take his success to the next level while he builds the foundation for his debut EP. "I see music as a language that everybody speaks and understands," says Michael. "My dream is to be able to reach and connect to people all over the world through my music.” michaellynchmusic.com
