About Matt Hebert
In late 2007, former Ware River Club front man, Matt Hebert started creating a solo EP called "Loss." Now, seven years later, that small project has blossomed into a full record titled "Until You Glow In The Dark" embracing his often-used moniker "Haunt" ("As Blue As Your Dying Eyes", "The Deep North" and "Tomorrow in the Sun"). Released this Spring by Nine Mile Records.
Recorded at Public Hi-Fi studio owned by Jim Eno of Spoon, Hebert collaborated with multi-instrumentalist, Tim Regan (of Texas Never Whispers, Sparklehorse, Oh No Oh My) as Producer. Regan was an integral part of the feel of the record and brought in drummer, Joel Calvin (Texas Never Whispers, Oh No Oh My) to create a celebratory tribute to those loved ones who are no longer with us. After putting down basic tracks, Hebert and Regan enlisted a few folks to add layers on individual tracks, including guitarists David Goodrich, Dave Quanberry and Matt Cullen, bassist Drew Schelgel, John Whittmore on pedal steel, Jonathan Kirkscey on cello, Brett Badshaw on percussion and Devon McDermott on vocals.
The direction Hebert has taken with Haunt has proven to be compatible in other mediums, with song placements in Drafthouse Film's "Cheap Thrills" with "I Suppose" (The Deep North) and "Love Song" (As Blue As Your Dying Eyes) in the TV show "How I Met Your Mother". Hebert wrote the musical score for "I'm not Les: A Transgender Story", a PBS documentary released in 2012 by film-maker, Daniel Kopec.
