Queensrÿche

Had great seats. Not an extremely large venue but the perfect size for the show. Never cared for bands playing in oversized venues where the sound quality suffers. That was not the case here, great sound even loud, the way I like it. Todd La Torre has the perfect pitch and tone and despite his 50 years young can still hold the ultra high notes. Guitar solos were near perfect (heard only 1 missed chord) but recovered flawlessly. Bass and drums held steady keeping the beat and rhythm regardless of the designed tempo. No gimmicks, just great music from the album The Warning. Wish Armored Saint opened for this show but for some reason they skipped KC. Hadn't seen them since the 80s.

The band was on FIRE!! I have seen Queensryche many times (too many to count), so I was so excited to hear some of the deep cuts from these albums and I was not disappointed at all. I also had a meet & greet with the band and they all were appreciative and friendly. Armored Saint was Awesome and really brought the energy up!! Great Show, Great Lineup, Great Set List & Great Guys!!

The band was amazing, the crowd was pumped up!!!! The staff was terrific for the most part. I would say that the staff were not pay as much attention to the people that were obviously not sitting in their proper seats and standing in the aisle as they were trying to stop people from taking pictures and videos. I paid for aisle seats to have an unobstructed view of the stage. My girlfriend was kicked by a drunk man bouncing in the aisle. A staff member walked right around him.

Incredible show! The venue ruined the show for me, staff was utterly incompetent for a rock show, but the show itself was amazing. Went with my dad and his high school friend, they havent been to a shown in almost 30 years (since before I was born). It was nice to have a show without all the special effects (though the queensryche special effects from previous shows are incredible!) they both told me "this is how shows were back when we went to shows". It was great to be somebody in their 20s and getting to experience an "old school" rock show. Super cool.

I have been a fan for over 20 years. I was absolutely blown away by the show last night. The band was so tight, and the energy was unreal. I took two friends that have never seen Queensrÿche and they were amazed at the music and the show…. Had to wait a bit after the show because they needed to get shirts as new , loyal fans. What I really appreciate is that they absolutely love, and play for their fans. Lots of great bands out there….. QUEENSRYCHE Is the best!

Band had some equipment failure causing them to start about 50 minutes late. Once they started, they were way too loud, even with plugs in. Now, I say this as a VERY frequent metal show attendee. It seems like they crank up their sound to make them more metal then they actually are. Marty Friedman played right before then and you can tell that his sound was well balanced and clean enough to hear the guitars. Would not see Queensryche again.

Opening band Trauma was a pleasant surprise. They really interacted with the fans. Thier sand was great for their Heavy Metal Fans! Up next was Marty Friedman, that cam all the way from Japan for this tour with his band. They showed work wasn't dead with their instrumental performance. They really loved being a part of the fan experience. And finally, Queensryche wrapped up another epic show playing songs from their new album #DigitalNoiseAlliance.

Marty Friedman's band is so good! They're both technically talented and amazing showmen (and showwomen?). After they finished, I literally asked how Queensryche could top that. Turns out they couldn't this night. Michael Wilton and the promoter came out and announced that Todd LaTorre's voice was gone from being sick, and they were going to reschedule the performance. The 2.5 hour drive was still worth it just for Marty Friedman's band. They should have just let them play another 30 minutes.

Thank god for Queensryche opening the show! Great set (as usual) and the crowd would have appreciated them more (i'm assuming many were there for the "headliner") if they knew how horrible the Vince Neil set would be....i can't tell you how bad vince's show actually was because hundreds of people like myself walked out after a few songs. I would have felt bad for vince but i thought, "Hey, you got to see a great Queensryche set and now i can beat the traffic and be home at a decent hour!".

Amazing performance from beginning to end , band was tight , vocals were tight. Todd Latore proving to be way more than capable of holding the new frontman position & killing it ! They did some old tracks , & they did alot from thier newest album "new digital alliance" , which is actually my new favorite album of thiers. Killer performance thru & thru ... they definitely got the stage rockin & properly warmed it up for the almighty judas priest to perform , which was another flawless truly energized performance... this was the best live show i saw all year of 2022 & i went to 15 shows ! ⚡️🤘

Ryche is my favorite band so any opportunity to see them is one worth. Saw them earlier in the week at Pru with Priest, where they opened. They delivered yet another stellar show, just wished that more of the new songs from the Todd era were better represented. Yes, seeing them play the classics never fails, but I wish that all fans would give the new stuff a listen as they hold their own! Thank you Whip, 1 Take, Todd, Casey, & Stoney for continuing the Ryche!!

Queensryche singer, LA Torre Killed it! Bringing back memories with The Warning and Take Hold of the Flame. My best friend, Leif and I used to crank that album on his stereo in OC 1984. We were 17. Last time I was at the Judas Priest concert was a few years back in Portland with Uriah Heep. Leif battled diabetes for many years...when Heep finished we had to go to medical and then to the hospital. We didn't get to see Priest. This time was bittersweet. My brother, Jimmy, my friend Randy and my bros friend Pete were ready to rock! We dedicated the show to Leif who passed away at 54 due his battle with diabetes. We were best friends 37 years...when Halford came out with his, "Hello you Heavy Metal Fan"and Faulkner and gang shredding it, we knew we were in for a treat. 50 years of Priest led to songs from the new- Lightning Strike and A Touch of Evil, Invader to Turbo Lover and going back with Rock n Rolla and Victim of Changes...Awesome! Desert Plains was one of mine and Leifs favorites...playing the air drums every time. Special place in my heart for that one...Finishing the night with, Livin after Midnight. Great times, great friends and great show....miss you my friend

Queensryche does a great show with a perfect balance of old and new material. I have been to 5 of their shows in the last 3-4 years because I like their new material. Todd LaTorre even says We are still making records and we are selling music so we are going play these new songs we hope you like them. I think this a terrific approach to music as opposed playing the same old greatest hits. Great show please continue to make music!

Another outstanding show from one of the most iconic progressive metal bands ever. Despite a massive rift in the band that fomented the ouster of original vocalist Geoff Tate almost eight years ago, Queensryche have carried on and continued to put out albums with their technically powerful sound and thought provoking lyrics. Vocalist Todd DeLatorrie has firmly established himself as the new frontman as evidenced by his performance onstage and on new album The Verdict. Equally impressive is the fact that he laid down the drum tracks on the new LP in lieu of the indefinite absence of original drummer Scott Rockenfield! By the way, if you haven’t heard The Verdict yet, do yourself a favor and check it out. It is the best album by the band with Todd on vocals and holds up well with many of the QR classics. The new songs translated well live and mixed right into the setlist seamlessly with the legendary songs. The only reason I did not give this performance five stars is the absence of the aforementioned Rockenfield. Don’t get me wrong; Casey Grillo is a more than adequate replacement and a great drummer in his own right. However, as a Queensryche fan since the release of 1983’s self-titled EP and a drummer myself, Scott Rockenfield was a huge influence on me as a young musician and is still one of my favorite drummers. So, I feel a little is lost live without him. But, this in no way diminishes my impassioned support for a band that in so many ways has been the ever used cliche’ ‘soundtrack to my life’. Can’t wait to see them again!

For the size of the hall, it was excellent! Great sound, lights and stage show we’re kick ass! First time seeing them since Geoff Tate exited.... Todd has surpassed him in vocal quality and stage presence. Casey Grillo excelled on the drum throne and is an asset to the band and their future. Fates Warning opened and was also on point in every respect! Awesome show, great sound and a wide range of both bands musical legacies were represented. Thank you guys for giving us your energy and a moment of your lives!! \\m//

Amazing show! I would like to have seen a lot more Fates Warning and Queensryche as both sets seemed a bit short, but both bands sounded amazing. I have seen Queensryche many times now. I have not seen them with this kind of energy since the Building Empires tour. I appreciate what Geoff Tate contributed to the band, but let’s face it, after Promised Land, most of us were going to the shows to hear, “the old stuff”. Todd has brought a new energy to the band so that, not only does the new stuff sound amazing, but he has even enhanced to old stuff!!! They played the best live version of NM 156 that I have ever heard. I totally left blown away by two of my all time favorite bands. If you are holding out because Geoff is no longer in the band, you are screwing yourself out of some of the most intense, energetic, fans respected and best sounding Queensryche. Don’t do that to yourself!

Todd is no Geoff by any stretch of the imagination. With that said, the show was excellent and going "old school" with Rage for Order and beyond made a huge impact on the crowd. The nod that Todd gave the service men and women, along with the offer to bring the fella being deployed the next couple of days struck a gigantic positive cord with me. The Peppermill Concert Hall is THE premier in a 150 mile radius of SLC. Very well done.

All of the bands were excellent. They put on an awesome show. The reason for one star being taken away was the venue. I love the Black Sheep and normally have no problems. Handicapped parking is extremely lacking. There were three people in wheelchairs, one with a walker (myself) and one with a cane but only one handicapped space. Being such a large crowd in such a small venue is one time mosh pits should not be allowed, and people were trying to. Twice I was bumped into because someone pushed others into me. The first time I shook it off. Second I couldn't and had to finish the show outside the entrance. I thank one of the staff with all my heart for lookin out for me and helping to get the crowd to make way for my walker and I. If this show wasn't Queensrÿche I probably would have sold my tickets after learning the show was sold out.

Queensryche was outstanding anybody still hung up on the fact Geoff is no longer the lead singer or its not Queensryche without Chris & Geoff ...what new Rock band are u listening to? Queensryche is as well oiled of a machine then Anybody else doing it ...Guns & Roses Ha it's a damn shame they get to do stadium shows because of a reputation..not here to bash anyone else..but Queensryche is outstanding live and their new music is fantastic.. support live music and go see one of the best bands on the planet

Queensryche is as solid as ever. Todd LaTorre brings an unreal energy to the band. With the core of Michael Wilton, Eddie Jackson, Scott Rockenfield and Parker Lundgren, they've never sounded better. They rocked a huge crowd in McHenry and kept them electrified. They rocked through a 16 song set, barely giving the audience time to catch their breath. Absolutely amazing, smoking show! I can't wait for their next album. Condition Hunan is the real thing. If you ever liked Queensryche or just like rock and roll, they're a must see!
