Blue Öyster Cult

I've seen these guys over a dozen times and they never disappoint. Buck and Eric are still putting on a great show well into their golden years and Richie is really upping his game, always liked him as a backing vocalist but now that they're giving him a few songs on lead, just incredible. If anything ever happens to Buck or Eric, he's more than capable of filling in.

The show was great, guys sounded as good as I remember from the 80’s, only wish they’d let us record a little, but had a very good night listening to good music and got a few photos as well as a guitar pic

Loved the venue, the opening act was a cover band (“Full Volume “), and not an interesting one. BOC’s musical attack was powerful and precise as usual, but Eric Bloom’s vocals are very thin, lack any presence, and were noticeably off key - definitely declining rapidly. Still an overall great set, and as long as Buck Dharma continues to play and sing, I will be there!

Show was good venue was a bit too strict on dancing and rocking out. Wouldn’t let us wait to try and get set lists or anything after the last song was over said everybody has to leave immediately which is quite the crowd rush.

Never sat during a BÖC show ... and the set list reflected that. Nonetheless, it WAS a BÖC show so it totally rocked. The encore songs were the best and the whole band - esp Buck - really got into it!

Good show. I wish they played more of their old songs. Buck was as good as ever. But they need to reign in Ritchie a bit as he was too loud in the mix. Not sure he adds much to the band. I do not like what they have done with “Then Came the Last Days of May”. One of my favorites off the first album, a slow ballad. They picked up the tempo and use it as a guitar war platform. Totally ruined the song. Most of the time Ritchie was too loud and just “wanking” … no soul. But Buck still has it.

Nearly a perfect venue. Great acoustics, perfect size to get a good connection with the band, easy enough to reach major roads. The band sounded great, and was a good show. I would have preferred a few more songs from their earlier albums.

The venue is classic, and BOC was their usual brilliant selves with some rarely played treasures mixed in with their great hits. A memorable way to close out an incredible career. Thank you Soft White Underbelly!

Initially I was hesitant to go, because the only songs of theirs I knew were the ones that got radio time. But I’m glad I went—these guys put on a heck of a show. And I also like the Carnegie Library of Homestead as a venue; it’s a great place to see a mid-sized show.

BOC brought there A game to Baton Rouge last night. Don't let anyone tell you they are pass there prime. The band was tight all night and they all seemed like they were into it. The crowd definitely enjoyed the show. My only problem was the sound wasn't great. Vocals were great except when Eric moved to the keys but the guitars were turned down so low & we were on the front row.

Only second time I've seen them. First time was forty years ago. They've still got it and proved it last night. Played a great show, then came out for a 3 SONG encore!

Great show! Band felt relaxed and could stretch their feet a little by not having to rush through a set. Sorry UFO had to cancel, that would have been a treat to see. But was made up by a longer two set show. After seeing the band here at this same venue over the last five years they finally played “I Love The Night” that I dearly wanted to hear. They also played some other little played songs also. Well worth it.

They were great. Wonderful to see them in a small venue from right at the stage instead of from the back of a large arena. They had a great set list. And played an extra long show to make up for the opening band not playing.

Blue Oyster Cult did not disappoint! They sang all the favourites & the classics. We were especially impressed by the incredible, legendary talent of singers/guitarists Eric Bloom & Buck Dahrma, but also by the young bearded man (sorry I don't recall hearing his name) who not only played lead guitar excellently on several songs but played a fantastic keyboard & is a great singer! They should give him more songs to sing! 😊 Great show, BOC! Unfortunately, since the Rialto did not allow photos or recordings, I have none to post.

For as long as the band has been around they still play amazingly and dont show any rust! 3rd time I've seen them in the last year and they deliver each time. Nice long set with a lot of surprises and one great time at the Bourbon Hall

BÖC played at the Washington County Fair in Hillsboro, OR on 7/27 w Foghat but if Iwe depended on Bandsintown, we would not have known about it, as It was unlisted. Made a few attempts to "add missing date" to automated response apologies of how low priority this was to them. The concert was excellent, Eric & Buck still deliver the goods and their recent added multitalented guitarist/keys/vocalist Richie Castellano adds a new dimension to the band while honoring the classics with harmonic perfection. Lots of hardcore fans who subscribe to the BOC website there but could have been better attended (especially for $15!) had it not been the only missing date on Bandsintown. Not the first time Bandsintown has been unreliable and theres no excuse having had our help! The promoters probably share the blame as it seemed to be unlisted everywhere but the BÖC website. Do better bandintown!

This has to be one of my top 3 concerts I've ever been to. They sounded just as good as they do on their albums. I would gladly see them again in a heartbeat

Great rock music played straight at you without indulgence. The Last Days Of May was astonishing and playing Astronomy an unexpected treat. This was one of those concerts that left everyone leaving with a smile on their face when you know you've just witnessed a fantastic performance from a band that plays their music to us, and for us, the fans. Reaffirmation that Rock & Roll Music played this well still has the power to inspire and leave you delighted.

Most of the set was slower, softer songs. They saved the hard heavy stuff for the end and encore. Sound problems prevented a five star rating. Not sure if it was their equipment or the venue's. 45 years of music is a lot to cover in a 90+ minute set. Very entertaining, however.

Such a great performance by Eric, Buck, Richie, Jules and Kasim. My only real complaint was that it was a condensed, 70 minute show of ten songs, for the price of a two hour show. This was due to two shows being scheduled back-to-back.
