Besra

Besra’s music brings you through narrow, dark tunnels that might – or might not – lead to a cathartic release. The band creates sludgy and heavy tones but is far away from the usual headbangers metal band. Besra is also mellow and even meditative, sometimes psychedelic. The songs are atmospheric and song structures dynamic and progressive. Besra’s music could be described as avant-garde metal, but the music is in no way limited to one genre.

The lyrical themes on the upcoming album – Anhedonia – explore the human mind’s difficulties coping with other human beings and this world. Psychological disorders, loneliness, abandonment.

Besra - based in Turku, Finland - consists of five experienced musicians, who have played in bands like Callisto, Rites of the Youth, While I'm Alive and Cassie.
