Isla Brentwood

Isla is a Kiwi-born, Melbourne-based singer and actress. She studied Musical Theatre at the National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Art (NASDA) in New Zealand before crossing the ditch to tour Australia with the musical Buddy – The Buddy Holly Story. A versatile singer, Isla has the ability to switch between jazz and theatrical vocals to folk and pop. Isla is one half of the successful acoustic duo, BRENTWOOD. Alongside her brother Finley they perform all over Australasia, Asia and the Pacific at weddings, events and on cruise ships. Their acoustic cover of the Deadpool Rap went worldwide after being shared by actor Ryan Reynolds, leading to BRENTWOOD being featured on ‘Deadpool – Reloaded’ the soundtrack for the motion picture. They are currently featured on The X Factor Australia on Channel Seven. As well as Australia, Isla has performed in musicals in Asia and New Zealand: Mikado and Beauty and the Beast – The Court Theatre, New Zealand. Twelve Singing Animals and The Little Dragon – LATT, Seoul, South Korea. She has been involved in a number of swing vocal trios, sang a duet with YouTube sensation Miranda Sings, performed backing vocals for Sydney’s televised Carols in the Domain and has spent time in the recording studio as a session vocalist. Isla has also been featured in advertising campaigns for Coles and Linfox/Armourguard. Isla is a singer and actress based in Melbourne. One half of BRENTWOOD on the X Factor Australia.
