TOO SHORT!! Chris always puts on a great show with his unique play style. Having his family there at the venue was a plus! Only wish Yoshi's would give these artists more play time in the future!!

The show was fabulous! Chris has such a unique style that stands out immediately! We will be back to see him when he returns to Oakland or anywhere in the Bay Area!

'Been waiting to see Chris for many years! Finally did! What a fabulous show. Had great back-up band. Food at Spaghettini was wonderful. We came all the way from Santa Rosa, CA. 'Was certainly worth the trip!

Wonderful show! Great venue! He played his new stuff which was great, but also some of his older pieces. And ended with my favorite ~ Love & Paragraphs. Had a great time and will go see him again if I get the chance.

I am very glad. I arrived to London from Poland specially for him. Chris played new pieces from new record As we think and some older compositions. Purchasing of above records and selfi with Chris was a creme de la creme. Greetings Tomasz

Great venue, very intimate. Food was good, reasonably priced, great service, and Chris Standring was excellent! Loved it. Can't wait to return!

The show was Outstanding! My wife & I had a great time, we'll go again when Chris comes back in town.

My wife and I are big fans of Chris Standring. We had another couple join us, and drove from the Sacramento area to Oakland for dinner, the show, and our over nite stay at the Marriott. We were first timers to Yoshi’s, but recommendations from a couple we had met at Napa Blue Note (our favorite for Cjazz) said the food was great, and the venue was really good too. First timers: Do your homework. Although the neighborhood has been cleaned up and a great deal of new development has taken place, there are still homeless and the occasional street hustler to contend with. Parking is attached to the venue, and Yoshi’s does validate. We paid $6.75, hardly a big city parking rate. First timers: Avoid the general admission rush for tables. We ate dinner at Yoshi’s, and we were presented with tickets in the second row. We could enter the performance area at any time before the show. Chris and his band mates put on a great show. Not every performer verbally connects with the audience, but Chris did so much to everyone’s enjoyment. Five out of five for sure. Minor complaints: The set could have been longer, and one or two more songs would have did it. My other complaint was the chairs. My seventy-three year old back could have been more comfortable. Would I see Chris again? Sure! And, if you do see him, congratulate him regarding his upcoming wedding.

Fantastic show. We flew in from Portland for the second year in a row to watch this fantastic artist and his top tier bandmates. We’ll be back again next year.

Chris Standring at Blues Alley was AWESOME! He's a great entertainer and song writer. I had a smile on my face the entire time. I also thoroughly enjoyed watching his drummer!

My wife and I were celebrating our 26th year wedding anniversary. Chris and his group of musicians played with such professionalism !! We have loved Chris`s music for years. The customer service was five star also !! And the food was incredible !! We are already making plans to return , very soon.

South Jazz club is the perfect place to see an intimate show, they offer many good choices. I was fortunate enough to see my favorite guitar player Mr Chris Standring, play with the Gerald Veasley Band. I shall return to see Mr Veasley again soon! Wow to that performance of classic songs, and some of Chris's creative originals. Chris Standring is in a unique musical place, truly not to be missed, live or on his recordings. My wife and I have been fans of Chris Standring for many years now and this was the first time we had a chance to see him in concert so we were very excited. He did not disappoint! The musicians backing him up were amazing and of course Chris played like he does on all of his recordings - he was fantastic! I will not hesitate to see him again if he is anywhere near Nashville in the future. Do yourself a favor, if you like smooth jazz that is ear candy containing great melodies with a nice mixture of ballads and funk, then take in a Chris Standring concert. You will not be disappointed!

Absolutely awesome! Chris Standring and his band mates put on a fantastic show last night at Sambuca Nashville. My wife and i were in smooth jazz heaven! His artistry and music genius was on full display and his bandmates were wonderful musicians in their own right.

Venue and weather were perfect! Sound guys were fantastic to show off this crackerjack band. Chris brought his A Team with him…High energy, well selected playlist from Chris’ extensive repertoire showcasing each artist’s talents. Best concert we’ve enjoyed in a long time. Thank you, Chris, for an outstanding evening even though we still can’t figure out the scat singing on Aphrodisiac…

Fabulous show that ouzed talent from all the musicians. Special note to Oli Silk on keyboards. Well worth seeing!

Great venue, Great Food/Service and enjoyable music. Great combination! This was our 3rd concert this year! Chris was smooth as silk and the house band played as though they've been with him for 25 years. The sound engineering was outstanding!! Ken Tupelo
