Viejo is a dynamic artist, with character and authority in contemporary Mexican independent music and, without a doubt, is a worthy representative of the music scene in Mexico.
Born in the city of Monterrey, Nuevo León, city where he spent his childhood and adolescence surrounded by art and rock n´roll, and where he discovered his love of the stage practicing professional dance for more than 10 years. In 2001 she decided to emigrate to the city of Barcelona and that is where her profession is defined and the inspiration that drives her to start her career as a musician emerges. At the end of 2004 he returns to Mexico, discovers his passion for synthesizers and joins the band QuieroClub (2004-2017).
After 13 years of experience and a successful teamwork with Quiero Club, the need for solo composing arises in Marcela, and this is how "Pequeñas Profecías"" was born, her first solo album; Album with which Marcela Viejo opens a new door of her heart and her deepest thoughts come to light, taking her to a new path of more introspective composition and full of self-knowledge; It addresses issues such as his own perspective of the problematic of mexico, how he lives his femininity, the rebellion to the already established idea of ​​how to live life, self-acceptance, sings an ode to freedom and the need to know new worlds . She describes songs as Pequeñas Profecías that were dictated to her in divine moments during the creative process and titled the album which is composed of 11 songs produced by Carlos Ann (producer, composer, singer and poet catálan) who believed deeply in the talent of Marcela and took her songs to a new sound world, with tints of French music, a bit of trip hop achieving an elegant and avant-garde sound
