Lloyd Cole was at his usual best. All the hits where there along with some good banter with the audience. Lloyd's son William joined him on stage after the interval and has a natural flair for guitar playing. A pleasurable evening.
What a night in Dolans. Lloyd was on top form, song after song of cool melancholic beauty. He played some of his greatest hits and more. Perfect Skin, Rattlesnake, Lost Weekend,Forest Fire stripped back to reveal the incredible melodies and fascinating lyrics. Backed by his son, Lloyd had the audience in the palm of his hand. Then he blew it with a smart assed comment about Limericks darker past. This drew a few shocked Boos from the audience. He won them back by the end and finished on a high. Great night overall slightly spoiled by a stupid lapse in tact by a true artist.
