The Torpedoes

Formed in the summer of 1993,members Brian Deheer, Lionel Peterson,Neil Peterson, Rick,and Ruth Hemmaway became,The Fabulous Torpedoes. Our goal was to be a solid high energy dance band for the area,with a good mix of musical styles and a solid professional sound production. For seven years we were able to enjoy playing all around Alberta,from Ft. McMurray to Edmonton.Neil moved on due to career commitments and the responsibility for the beat fell to Jean Piquette who took us to even more good things happening for us. In summer of 1999 Ruth and myself left Lac la Biche for Lloydminster. The Torpedoes resided in limbo for a number of years,until her passing. It was during my grieving period that an opportunity to re-unite with the other guys arose, and on that performance made us realize we still had that fire in the belly to continue. So now, with hope and encouragement from so many great friends and loved ones,we shall continue,with special thanks to Scott our current drummer,and Matt Dulmage for being our go to guy when Scotty can't be here.
