Raised in northern California, improvising instrumental music along with the sounds of creaking redwood trees and crashing surf, Hubrist's roots are in the realm of the emotional, ethereal, and natural. After being awakened to the power and possibilities of electronic sound during his years living in Japan, it was only a matter of time before these two seemingly disparate ideologies would merge into one. Hubrist is currently residing in Berlin, crafting hand-made electronic music, performing live with local musicians, and loving life. Electronic music with an analog heart.
