About Shoreside
Purchase our album "Desolation" today: Album Review: http://thedwarf.com.au/album_review/desolation Band review: http://tinyurl.com/ShoresideReview "An incredible mix of both Australian metal and hardcore." "Shoreside spins the musical stylings of bands like August Burns Red, Parkway Drive, and I Killed the Prom Queen, into their own massive hardcore mix, complete with heavy instrumentals, and a duo of clean and screaming vocals." Formed in 2011 as a recording project by vocalist/songwriter Corey Burton, later joined by guitarist/songwriter Michael Bujaki out of a mutual love for heavy music, Shoreside's sound has constantly evolved and grown into what you're hearing today. Taking influences from bands all over the genre spectrum, the sound delivered is an astonishing blend of both power and melody. The first solid lineup was announced in April of 2012 with Travis Clarke on drums, John Kis Gyevi on bass and Chris Di Carlo on rhythm guitars. This team of talented musicians took to the stage and performed to their loyal fans numerous times before releasing a single and music video titled "Alumni" followed thereafter by their highly anticipated debut album "Desolation". Desolation recieved high critical acclaim and got mostly favorable reviews, with sources citing that the album had an "infectious groove" and was "a welcome return compared to some of the nands in the scene today". "When we write music, we don't write it to fit any genre or to suit any one person. We simply write what we want to listen to, what sounds good to us and that's what we love doing." - Corey Burton, vocalist of Shoreside. That lineup remained solid until the 18th of October 2013 where Kis Gyevi left due to personal differences. In November of 2013 Jason Anderson joined the band on bass guitar. Later in March 2014, Burton announced his own departure. In July 2014 however Burton agreed to rejoin the band for their last show.
