About The Drought
The Drought
The Drought makes alt rock in Salt Lake City. We are equally invested in lyricism as we are in arrangement: this balance makes for songs that have elements of folk, rock, indie, and jazz. The Drought is about erosion, quick infrastructure, economic ruin, and the overlay of passionate love that consumes. It is impossible to escape obsession amidst the absurdism of modernity, and this heartache is amplified by its own insignificance.
